Mary has been seriously growing roses for over 30 years now and is a Life Consulting Rosarian for the American Rose Society, having given over 20  years service as a CR.   She is also on the ARS Cyber Rosarian Committee giving rose advice via the internet to folks all over the US and even several foreign countries. Mary grows about 400 roses of all kinds on her 3/4 acre plot of land in the upstate New York area of the Southern Tier/Finger Lakes, Zone 5.  She is especially fond of Miniatures and Old Garden Roses and has been slowly replacing less hardy Hybrid Tea and Floribunda roses with more winter hardy varieties.  She has  held several ARS and NY State District offices and garnered awards and prizes for her roses.  Mary is also currently the Rose Hybridizers Association Secretary.

In addition to growing and showing roses, she enjoys writing about roses and has had many articles printed in the national publication, The American Rose magazine over the years.
